Cadets take part in regular fitness sessions on Squadron, similar to the tests for the police and armed forces. They also take part in skills training on Squadron, and competitions and athletics in the region.
Many of our cadets take part not believing they can win – but often come away with medals! See the pictures below for medals from the Wing Athletics competition.
Our Fitness tests include sit ups, push ups, shuttle runs, and the bleep test. We help cadets improve over time – no matter their fitness when they join.
You don’t have to be fit to join – we can get you from zero push ups to 20 per minute within a year! You just have to take part and try your best.
