Last night, 1082 Squadron received a visit from Wing Commander Tony Wright!
He came to carry out the squadrons Annual Formal Inspection (AFI) but instead had a talk to our cadets regarding important issues such as mental health awareness and motivation. The cadets also had a chance to ask WC Wright any questions they might have. These could be about anything. We had some great ones!
After this, our cadets presented to WC Wright & the squadron about a variety of topics such as flying & gliding, master chef, cyber & radio as well as camps and adventure training.
On the whole, a very memorable night for 1082!
This week two cadets from 1082 Sqn attended Trent Wings Easter camp based at RAF Honington, the home of the RAF Regiment!
They joined 42 others from around the wing and came together to enjoy a wide range of activities.
Begining their adventurous week at IWM Duxford and RAF Regiment Heritage Centre, followed by personal fire safety advice and familiarisation, then visited 1 Sqn operational unit, before undertaking leadership exercises with station PTI’s, sports, a day with the RAF Police and a Regiment Fieldcaft day, AFCO presentation, Survival and finally bushcraft lessons!
